In high school she suggested to a classmate to study together…and off they went with maps, photo clippings and theater sets to study History! Her ongoing commitment to facilitation, through cooperative, visual and participatory learning techniques, began there.
After graduating in Political Science at LUISS Guido Carli, she obtains a Master in Sociology of Migration, at La Sapienza in Rome.
Until 2014 she matures in Micro Progress Onlus experiences in training desing, coordinating several informal training workshops for Italian local institutions, international agencies and Ngos.
Since 2014 she has began to specialize in Graphic Recording and since then she is dedicated to use and spread the visual language in the communication, training and change spaces.
In practice, Ilaria synthesizes in real time discourses in visual maps (paper or digital), fixing key words to simple images, promoting comprehension, memorization and systemic gaze.
Since 2019, she lives between Rome and Beaulieu-sur-Dordogne, where she coordinates residential trainings for Trainers & Youth Leaders with Nomadways, a French association promoting art and creativity as a tool for social change.
